Carnival is all about being prepared properly in order to have the time of your life. I have, over the years, developed a list of carnival essentials that can help make your trip easier and more comfortable. These items will help you get the most out of your trip.
EARPLUGS
These are ESSENTIAL. Carnival is LOUD. Extended exposure to loud music, especially behind the truck where the hot girls love to wine, can lead to hearing loss or tinnitus. Wearing these earplugs in the fete and on the road brings the music from unbearably loud to “just right”. You can even hear people talking to you more easily as well.

SUNBLOCK
It’s important to put on sunblock for any fete that takes place during the day and it’s ESSENTIAL for the road. Getting sunburnt makes you very tired and weak and thats not good for continuous fetting. The sunblock below works very well, lasts all day and gives you that “glazed donut” look for the road.

TOOTH WHITENING
Carnival is about putting your best foot forward. It’s a place where you are surrounding by beautiful people….why not be one of them? We can all do the basics to get there but i’m about taking you that extra mile. Whitening your teeth gives you that extra UMPH when you are seen across the crowd. And let’s face it, you will be smiling the entire trip so make that smile brilliant!

Hair removal.
Us gym buffs know how important removing hair is when it’s time for the stage. Be it competition stage or carnival stage. Having that smooth glossy look is always a plus
PHONE AND STUFF CASE
This one is for the road. I hate carrying stuff on the road but you need to have some money, a phone, Camera batteries, spare earplugs, etc etc. I use this phone case strapped to my WRIST to allow me easy access to all my things. Take a look!

BABY OIL
Jouvert is an essential part of any carnival. Its SOOOOOO much fun, but it can also be a major pain to get that paint off. Make the job easier by covering up with baby oil first. Gives you that shiny glow and makes cleaning up after a breeze.

PHONE BATTERY PACK
Nothing sucks more than being lost in a strange country, far from home and having no way to communicate with friends or call transport. If you know your phone battery cannot manage, get a powerbank to squeeze into your phone and stuff case (see above) for the road.
