Frenchmen Foreplay 2012 review
The time had come…Once again, I walked through the entrance of what I, and MANY others, consider to be the best party Jamaica has to offer and one of the best soca heavy parties as well. As usual, the venue was tastefully appointed with the biggest dance floor yet. The food was delectable and freshly cooked by a small army of chefs visible in a small tent city outside the venue. The chef army kept food available ALL night long.
The bars were well staffed as usual, but this year the sheer number of patrons seemed to overwhelm them at times. I am used to getting served in seconds at this party, but the waiting time was in minutes at times on this occasion.
The vibes started slowly, in part because of splatterings of rain early in the evening. However it was no surprise that the dance floor quickly filled up, and with music played by DJ Private Ryan, Dutchess Alicia and Renaissance’s Dj Delano the dancing began in earnest and did not stop.
Despite the enormous size of the dance floor the large crowd had it packed tight! As such the photos and video are not quite so nice (or numerous), but take a look at both anyways and tell me what you think of Frenchmen!

Venue, level vybes and atmosphere. However, there are some things that must be mentioned. Lines were way too long, especially the line for at the sea-food tent and bar -crew stashed the mugs that were supposed to be available for paying patrons (that was not cool at all). With those things said, I wined down low to Private Ryan and Angie……
It was even better than it looked:)
